Thanks for the opportunity to run for State Representative
Thanks for the opportunity to run for state representative. It was a great experience and an honor. As many people told me throughout the campaign, they felt fortunate that we had three good candidates running in our district. I agreed - and it is reflective of our engaged and informed district that we do have such good representation. So please join me in congratulating Kesha Ram for her re-election and Chris Pearson for his election to the Vermont House. Our district will be well represented.The best part of the campaign was getting to know the many wonderful people in our district. Many people thanked me, and I am sure the others, for our willingness to run. And I want to thank you for your support and your encouragement. I have an enhanced appreciation for our elected leaders and the effort and commitment they show to represent us.
In particular, I would like to thank a few former and current elected officials who were helpful to me as I was campaigning. Thank you to Janet Stackpole, who served on Burlington's Board of Aldermen before it became the City Council and who was the treasurer for my campaign. Thanks to Judy Rosenstreich, former state representative, who I got to know well through discussing in-depth policy issues. Thanks to Ed Adrian, current city councilor, for his ongoing support, wise counsel and his service to our city. And a thank you to Kesha Ram for her encouragement and generosity while running together. Thanks for your commitment to serving our city and our state.
